Why to donate?

Kexi developers have decided to offer Kexi for free on freedom platforms like Linux, OpenSolaris or BSD and only charge for technical support and pre-packaging custom offerings for Windows.

Kexi is available in major Linux distributions for free. It may be totally free for the mentioned platforms, and will always be available for free, with source code and even design documents available, but there are some things needed that require money:

  • hardware for daily development
  • internet connection, as the development heavily depends on real-time collaboration and information exchange
  • financing regular developer meetings

Moreover, it is possible to sponsor talented developers' work with enough money what allow them to work part- or full-time on the project rather than spending time on commercial closed-source projects to pay their bills.

If you enjoy and use Kexi please consider supporting it financially, especially if you have found it useful in your business. Kexi is in constant need of funds in order to finance its operations and grow even more. Thank you!

How to donate?

Kexi is a part of the international KDE (http://www.kde.org) and KOffice (http://www.koffice.org) projects. One way to donate money for the development is to send a selected amount to the KDE organization. To do so, visit http://kde.org/community/donations web page.

However, this will not be the direct donation for the Kexi Project. You may want to support Kexi explicitly and even express your wishes about what particular features interest you most (at the KDE Bug Tracking System (https://bugs.kde.org). You can visit http://www.kexi-project.org web site to find Donate button.
